Eace Healthy Teeth Facts
Eace Healthy Teeth contains fluoride and green tea extract.
One chewing gum contains 0.175 mg fluoride and 4.16 mg green tea extract.
We recommend 3-6 pieces daily and that you chew for a minimum of 5 minutes to get the most out of the chewing gum.
The chewing gum has a fantastic flavor of eucalyptus and mint.
Why is chewing gum good for teeth?
The reason has to do with increased saliva flow, which reduces acid on your teeth that causes decay. Always make sure your gum is sugar-free, as sugary gums can actually contribute to acid build-up.
The American Dental Association recommends chewing sugar-free gum for 20 minutes after meals, as it has been shown to reduce plaque, promote tooth enamel, reduce cavities and reduce gingivitis.
What is the function of Fluoride and Green Tea?
You probably know fluoride from your toothpaste. Fluoride is added to the vast majority of toothpastes as part of preventive dental care in Denmark. It has been well documented in numerous studies over the years that fluoride has a positive and important effect in relation to preventing cavities. Fluoride has proven to be so effective against tooth decay that researchers today, for ethical reasons, are no longer allowed to carry out experiments in which a control group of children brush their teeth with toothpaste without fluoride.
There is a correlation between the use of fluoride, the reduction of dental caries and the increase of dental fluorosis. The high presence of fluorine in saliva after using fluoridated chewing gum may be significant in preventing caries.
The active components in green tea are called catechins. Catechins are a series of polyphenols known for their effectiveness in reducing bad breath. Several studies have documented this effect. Among other things, a test of catechin addition to chewing gum and their effect on breaking down bad breath compounds such as CH3SH.
