CHEWING GUM MAKES YOU LOOK COOL

When the corona-affected world opens up again, we will have to socialize again. Several of us have surely forgotten how to even do such a thing.
So how do you socialize better and how do you make sure you make a good impression?

One way to do this is by chewing gum. A study from Beldent , in collaboration with Del Campo Saatchi & Saatchi, shows that chewing gum makes you look cooler.

The study worked by creating an art installation with identical twins to find out what impression chewing gum has on the public. The twins were placed next to each other and were each dressed and styled exactly the same, except that one twin was chewing gum while the other had a more static and neutral expression. During the day, museum visitors took part in an interactive exhibition where they answered questions about their first impressions of the twins, such as:
"Who do you think gets invited to more parties?", "Who is most popular?" and “Who do you think has a better sex life? ” etc.

The results of the survey showed that out of the 481 visitors who were asked a series of questions about the twins, 73% preferred the twins who chewed gum. From there, it was concluded that the old social stigma that chewing gum gives a bad impression is not true, but is actually the other way around – chewing gum gives a more positive impression.

However, it must be remembered that the study is not academic or scientific, but rather a social experiment. Still, it's an experiment that shows that chewing gum is a good way to have a more dynamic face that people like better than static faces, as it gives people a cold and not sentimental look.
